After a series of organisational transformations through which the company had undergone since it was founded, it was on 24 June 1997 that the company was registered at The Commercial Court in Zrenjanin, as a Joint Stock Company For Roads "VOJVODINAPUT-ZRENJANIN" with the head office in 75 Zarka Zrenjanina in Zrenjanin , under the registration number Fi.709/97.

At present, the company employs 306 people. It is equipped with up to date mechanisation and equipment including 30 large and 50 smaller construction machines , 30 trucks and 20 vehicles for personnel transport. It is this technical and human potential that enables the maintenance of 666 kilometres of main roads and more than 2000 kilometres of regional, local, access and other uncategorized roads, urban traffic arteries and streets in two regions, North Banat and Central Banat. Field branches enable immediate presence of our maintenance men on all locations. However, apart from the company’s strengths, alike other companies, “Vojvodinaput-Zrenjanin” faces current problems of domestic economy, especially as regards to supply of raw materials, difficulties with late payments, slow supply of spare parts, lack of sound investment plans with efficiently closed financial structure, poor funds for road and structure maintenance and skill shortage, especially in civil engineering. Today, the company has substantially developed but constantly improving information system including 6 notebooks , 60 PCs , 11 printers and 3 scanners, configured in the local computer network with Internet access. Naturally, the number of computers and IT equipment is constantly increasing in accordance to the company policy. Further computer expansion and improvements of the Internet connection are planned for immediate future. The existing information system is based on individual business applications. However, in the course of renovation of the present system and equipment, the acquisition of new, modern computer equipment is also in progress, together with the development of the new information system which would be based on Intranet/Internet business applications and compliant to the Quality Management System in accordance with ISO 9001/2001. The realisation of the project of introducing Quality Management system compliant to ISO 9001/2001 is in its final phase. Furthermore, preparatory work on introducing Environmental Management system compliant to ISO 14000 is also in progress. They create possibilities for implementing TQM (Total Quality Management), which is one of the targets of the company since quality is the most important guaranty for competitive advantage in both domestic and foreign markets.
